At all levels, the needs of our veterans here at home are great. The needs of our homeless veterans require special attention. Each year, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs provides services to homeless veterans at “Stand Downs” across the country. For over 16 years we have been honored to host the Central Ohio Veterans’ Homeless Stand Down at the Franklin County Veterans Memorial here in Columbus, Ohio.
Specialized Services
At Stand Down we offer specialized services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of our homeless veteran men and women – and at no cost to them. These services include Veterans Services, Medical Services, Local Agency Services, Legal Services, Clothing, Personal Grooming, and a Hot Meal.
Replacement Identification
Admission to Stand Down is for Veterans Only. Admission is free. Guest must present their DD214 or VA Benefits Card or, as a last resort, Statement of Service. If they have lost or misplaced this documentation, they can have one reissued by clicking HERE for Replacement ID Instructions.
